So Gordon Brown now blames me for the rising price of food. I waste too much apparently. Hardly surprising, as according to this government I am accountable for global warming, crime, the price of oil, the credit squeeze and goodness knows what else.
It baffles me how our elected representatives, armed as they are billions of pounds in taxes, the civil service, the police force, the armed forces and so on, are utterly unable to do anything to solve our problems. It is all down to me to sort it out, by recycling, telling my kids about knives, using a fuel efficient car, and generally pulling my belt in.
But most baffling of all is that he could spare the time from the G8 round of cocktail parties, formal dinners and general partying to tell me how wasteful I am. How nice of him to think of me at such a time.
